Le groupe Pierer Mobility, qui a récemment acquis la marque italienne emblématique MV Agusta, affiche une ambition claire : ramener MV Agusta sur la scène des Grands Prix via le MotoGP, aux côtés de KTM. Cette décision stratégique pourrait permettre à MV Agusta de renouer avec son héritage prestigieux en compétition, qui comprend 75 titres mondiaux entre pilotes et constructeurs, et plus de 270 victoires en course. Actuellement, la marque italienne participe au Championnat du monde Supersport avec MV Agusta Reparto Corse, mais son retour en MotoGP marquerait une nouvelle ère dans son histoire.
Le MotoGP 2025 débutera par une surprise de taille : ce ne sera plus le Qatar qui ouvrira la saison, mais la Thaïlande. Le Circuit International Chang de Buriram accueillera l'événement du 28 février au 2 mars 2025, marquant ainsi la première fois depuis 25 ans que le championnat commencera en Asie du Sud-Est.
